Travis P. Martwinski, Captain:
Captain Martwinski being his law enforcement career with the City of Sharon Police Department in October of 1994.
He spent the next 10 years in the patrol division as a uniformed Patrol Officer. During that time he served as a D.A.R.E instructor,
was a member of the Mercer County Drug Task Force, served as a Field Training Officer and was assigned to patrol the city’s public
house districts under the C.O.P.S program. In 2004 Captain Martwinski advanced to the rank of Sergeant Detective where he was moved
from the Patrol Division to the Detective Bureau. As a Sergeant/Detective he was responsible for investigating major cases that were assigned
to the Detective Bureau including numerous homicide investigations. In February 2007 he was then promoted to his current rank as the
Captain of Operations where he now oversees the daily operations of the department. As part of these responsibilities, he is the direct supervisor
to the Detective Bureau and the Department School Resources Offices. He is also the custodian of all department evidence and serves as the
department’s Internal Affairs Divisions. Captain Martwinski is a 1989 graduate of Shenango High School in Lawrence County Pennsylvania.
He attended the Municipal Police Officers Academy at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and holds an associate degree in Criminal Justice.
He is a member of the International Association of Property and Evidence and serves on the boards of both the Mercer County
Police Chiefs Association and the North Western Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association.
