The Sharon Tax Office has mailed 2020 Per Capita Tax Cards.
It is your obligation to call this office if you have not received a card.
Every person 18 years or older must receive a tax card.
Failure to inform this office could result in paying a late penalty.
EXONERATION IS NOT AUTOMATIC.
You must speak with the tax office each year to check and see if you
qualify for exoneration. All sources of income, including Social Security,
Pensions, etc. are considered as income.
Non-residents prior to June 30, 2020 must supply proof in order to be
eligible for exoneration. (e.g. Driver's License or Utility bill).
2020 Per Capita Tax Cards mailed on August 1st the Fee & penalty structure is as follows:
- Two months at 2% discount - If paid between August 1, 2020 and September 30, 2020.
- Two months at face - If paid between October 1, 2020 and November 30, 2020.
- After four months 10% penalty - If paid November 30, 2020.
